This dataset was reported by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg under the Habitats Directive for period 2013 - 2018. Article 17 requires Member States to report every six years about the progress made with the implementation of the Habitats Directive. As the main focus of the directive is on maintaining and/or restoring a favourable conservation status for habitat types & species of community interest, monitoring & reporting under the directive is focusing on that. Monitoring of conservation status is not restricted to Natura 2000 sites and data need to be collected both in and outside the Natura 2000 network to achieve a full appreciation of conservation status. The ecological status of the natural waterbodies is assessed in 5 classes going from 1 to 5 (high, good, moderate, poor, bad). The classification of the ecological status is based on the biological quality elements, physico-chemical quality elements and in some cases also the hydromorphological quality elements.

This layer contains the official infrared orthophoto (infrared, red, green) from the 2022 surveying flights with a ground sampling distance of <= 10 cm per pixel (GSD). The absolute planimetric accuracy of the orthophoto can be given with a mean squared error MSE <= 20 cm. The perspective displacement is <= 25 %. The orthophoto covers the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with an overlap of at least 50 m beyond the state border. The surveying flights took place with a sun position of >= 30 ° on August 10, 11 and 12 and September 1, 12 and 23, 2022.
