According to the Bathing Water Directive 2006/7/CE were designated 3 bathing water groups in Luxembourg : the reservoir of the Upper Sure , the swimming pond in Remerschen and the swimming pond in Weiswampach which are surveyed at 11 bathing water sites. Every year before the start of the bathing season the list of bathing waters will be published in the Luxembourg press. The bathing season in Luxembourg extends from May 1 to August 31. Legally, the Bathing Water Directive was implemented in Luxemburgish Law with the regulation of the 19th of May 2009 regarding the Bathing Water ( règlement grand-ducal du 19 mai 2009 modifié concernant les eaux de baigande ) into Luxembourg law.
